After several months of walking around using the lightest grip on our fingers for stability, the little lady finally set off on her own today. Within about 30mins of taking her first unaided steps, she started to run…and promptly face-planted into the carpet. I’m not sure I’ll ever see an idiom played out so literally. (Actually, she often bites off more than she can chew) But anyway, I tried celebrating this with her, but she just kept shrieking…clearly failing to understand that it’s not everyday you actually get to see someone try and run before they can walk.
A momentus day, on both counts.
